Two Cases of Pseudocysts of the Pancreas

Abstract
|
|
|
Author experienced two cases of pseudocysts of the pancreas. Two cases were young females, nineteen twenty-four years old, respectively. The one case was treated by the method of Roux-en-Y cystojejunostomy and another one was treated by excision and Roux-en-Y pancreatico-jejunostomy. The results were satisfactory.
As complication, a pancreatic fistula developed in the second case, which closed spontaueously 8 days later. The second case who retained only one third of the pancreas manifested no functional disturbances.
